For Gig Workers

Find local gigs near you and keep every dollar you earn.

No commission on your pay — ever. YoZombie charges the business, not you.

Most gig platforms take a percentage of your pay before you ever see it. You showed up. You did the work. You should keep what you earn. With YoZombie, no percentage is taken from your pay — and that's how it should be.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does YoZombie take a commission from gig workers?
No. YoZombie never takes a commission or percentage from your pay. You keep 100% of what you earn. Standard Stripe payment processing fees may apply to payouts.
Do I need to set up Stripe before accepting gigs?
Yes. You must connect a Stripe account before you can accept gigs — that's how your pay is deposited. Setup takes a few minutes in the app and only needs to be done once. Without Stripe connected, you can browse gigs but can't accept them.
How do I sign up as a gig worker on YoZombie?
Download the YoZombie app, create a free profile, set your skills and availability, and connect your Stripe account. No fees to join — ever. Once the app is live in your area, start browsing and accepting gigs right away.
What types of gigs are available on YoZombie?
Restaurants, retail, physical labor, events, hospitality, and service businesses. You choose which gigs to accept based on your skills, schedule, and location. No gig is ever forced on you.
How does the QR code check-in system work?
When you arrive for a gig, the business shows you a QR code. Scan it to officially start. Scan again at the end to confirm completion and trigger your payment. You must scan within the check-in window — arriving too late forfeits your pay and the business gets a full refund.
When will I receive payment after completing a gig?
Once both parties confirm via QR scan, payment is released from escrow and sent to your Stripe account. Bank deposits typically arrive within 2–7 business days depending on your bank.
How does payment work on YoZombie?
The business's payment is held securely in escrow by Stripe when they post the gig. It's released to you automatically when the gig is complete. YoZombie takes no cut of your pay — only standard Stripe processing fees may apply.
What happens if I cancel after accepting a gig?
Accepting a gig is a commitment. If you back out, the gig is reopened for another worker. Frequent cancellations affect your standing and visibility on the platform. Cancelling early is always better than a no-show.
Can I set my own schedule on YoZombie?
Yes. Browse gigs near you and accept the ones that fit your life. No minimum hours, no required availability, no commitments. Work when you want.
What is Vacation Mode?
Vacation Mode pauses your availability without deleting your profile. While it's on, your profile won't appear in searches and businesses won't be able to send you offers. Turn it off whenever you're ready to work again.
What is "Trusted By" and how does it work?
"Trusted By" is a public count on your profile showing how many businesses have added you to their roster. Every time a business saves you after a gig, your count goes up. A high count means more businesses are likely to send you direct private offers.
How does the YoZombie referral program work?
Refer someone to YoZombie and earn $2 every time they complete a gig — for as long as the referral program is active. Referral earnings are tracked in the app and paid out separately from your gig pay.
What kinds of gigs are NOT on YoZombie?
YoZombie is for local, in-person labor. Remote work, delivery, rideshare, and professional services like accounting or legal work are not on the platform. Think hands-on work — the kind where you show up and get it done.
Do I need to bring my own equipment or tools?
It depends on the gig. Each posting includes details about what the business expects. Some gigs need nothing beyond showing up; others specify gear. Always read the full gig description before accepting.
Is YoZombie available in my city?
YoZombie is launching in Maryland first, with expansion to Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC. Join the waitlist above to be notified when we go live in your area.
